Connect Solflare only when ready

Open BurnerSOL, connect Solflare, and let the scanner read token accounts tied to the public wallet address. BurnerSOL never asks for a seed phrase or private key.

Review token details first

Check the token name, mint address, balance, image, dust signal, and suspicious metadata warning before selecting anything. Unknown links in token metadata should not be opened.

Burn versus close

Burning destroys token units. Closing an eligible empty token account can return rent-exempt SOL. BurnerSOL keeps both actions visible so you can decide deliberately.

Approve inside Solflare

The final transaction prompt appears in Solflare. Read the account list and reject the prompt if it contains an action you did not expect.

After confirmation

Refresh the wallet view and check the summary. On-chain burns are final, so the safest workflow is slow, visible, and manual.
